This site was originally www.FixerFixer.com which was a national site for people who fixed properties. We had just finished two houses that we gutted down to the studs inside and out. When we started the third house it seemed like fun to blog about the experience.
Hi! My name is David Losh and below is a little bit about me. The purpose of this site is for you to have a forum about Real Estate and especially fixing Real Estate. I’ve been fixing properties for Real Estate agents for forty years. I know the tricks of the trade, but pride myself on doing things the right way.
Elegance is what we shoot for, but we also know how to maintain a property. The guys I know are craftsman who do fantastic work, but are more inclined to be realistic. If you have questions about a project e-mail me. Problems are no problem, there is always a solution.

Since 1972 my companies have provided service to the Seattle area.
There are many projects that I have done over the years including Pasta Belle in Ballard. It was ten tables and an electric range when I bought it in 1986. It was rated as one of the top ten cafes in Seattle in 1989 by the Zagat Survey, with a mention in Time Magazine the same year.
In the 1990s I traveled. Travel is what I enjoy. I’ve been to most countries around the Mediterainian and through the Middle East. I’ve spent extended periods in Italy, Spain, Morocco, Egypt, Greece, and Peru. Along the way I have visted many of the archilogical sites. In Peru there are some startling discoveries. It was a privledge for me to tour the sites in Caral at Supe, North of Lima.
By the late 1990s my interest was in hotels and the travel business. To learn the hotel business I took a contract with a hotel here in down town Seattle. The goal was to either get it refinanced or sold. It sold.
This was the beginning of a new concept for my business concerning Real Estate. In a little over a year this place was transformed from run down to being sold to a national chain.
Residential Real Estate in Seattle is by far the best value of anywhere I’ve been. The houses here are built well with quiet neighborhoods tucked away from the bustle of a vibrant city. The climate here keeps people cloistered which adds a dimension of being like a small town.
